UPDATES

May 2025 Update

The “Cave” section is under construction and lots of progress has been made! Currently the moonboard and the 40 degree spray wall are built and set (mostly), and the 25 degree wall is framed out, and ready for boards to go up. Pads are on their way and should be here soon. I want to thank everyone that helped out during the month of may, couldnt have done it without you!

5/6: Final Renders!

Remade the 3D model of the gym after taking the exact measurements of the space. This is pretty much what it is going to look like, aside from some minor changes that may be made during construction! The main wall will now measure 20 feet wide by 15 feet tall, the 40-degree wall is approximately 21 feet wide by 12 feet tall, and the 25-degree wall will be 16 feet wide by 10 feet tall. 4/30: Studio Update!

Went to check out the progress on the studio space yesterday! The space has been divided out, and all that's left to do is some finishing touches. The Barnum Factory has been incredibly helpful and awesome to work with during this process. I should be getting access to the studio today or tomorrow, and then construction on the wall can begin! If you are interested in checking the space out or helping build, let me know!

4/20: Synrock Holds!

Man, I love buying climbing holds. I have been trying to buy some more unique grips, stuff you don't see all too often at gyms, since I already have a ton of gym holds. Since they will be going on a spraywall I want to have a bunch of different materials, not just the standard polyurethane. The holds pictured are from Synrock, and they are made of a ceramic composite. They have a grippy sandstone-like texture that doesn't eat into your skin the way that most plastic holds do. These holds are mostly medium-to-hard slopers or tough pinches. I have also picked up 40 or so real rock shapes from them, which should help you train for some steep sandstone climbing. Come climb on these bad boys in June!
